This week's Girl Talk Thursday is the List of Five, Fiction Edition. If you didn't read my previous post about the whole List of Five phenomenon, you should go check it out before reading this one.
However, seeing as these guys don't even actually exist, I suppose I could envision some sort of fictional situation, alternate universe where I'm completely available, all bad boys can be convinced to settle down, and venereal diseases don't apply.
Also, these are photo only, because if you don't know the character, no blurb that I put here is going to really give you the full effect.
#1: Jack Sparrow
#2: Jack Sparrow
#3: Jack Sparrow
#4: Jack Sparrow
#5: Jack Sparrow
#6: Jack Sparrow:
... oh, all right. If you insist, I will make it five DIFFERENT people.
#2: Archie Goodwin from the Nero Wolfe mysteries. It doesn't hurt that he was played by Timothy Hutton in the shortlived, but wonderful, TV series, but even before that I was alllll about the Archie.
#4: Aragorn and Faramir - I list them both because when I first read the books, I was so upset that Eowyn didn't hook up with Aragorn (oh yea. dude, spoiler alert. if you live under a ROCK.). I didn't understand about his own love story, and I didn't appreciate the beauty of her story, at the time. But the older I get, the better I appreciate that she was able to marry a guy that was Not The King Of The Whole World, but was perfect for her.
#5: Sark from Alias. He is sooo bad. He really does not have any redeeming qualities at all, other than being charming. But I can dig it.
Edited AGAIN to add: Maybe I should just keep this post open while I'm reading the other girls' lists. Cheryl said: "Severus Snape from Harry Potter (don't judge - you know a sword-toting emo is a little hot)" and she's so right. I died a little bit when he showed Dumbledore his Patronus. Ok, I'm disappointed in how dirty that sounds for something that was genuinely emotionally moving.
Edited AGAIN to add... geez girls, you're making me doubt my decisions here. I forgot THIS:
Thanks Maria...
PPPPPPS Also, anyone from CSI (original) - gil, warrick, nicky. This is why I don't like making lists, I just can't stick with the limits.

Cartoon fox dudes are awesome. I would have to say that Disney Robin Hood was my first crush, as a teeny girl of five or six. I was totally gonna marry him when I grew up into a cute fox lady...
ReplyDeleteOh, Sark. I love you. I would marry evil if evil was you. And if I weren't married already.
ReplyDeleteActually, pretty much all of these make my heart go pit-a-pat. Except for Daniel Jackson, but that's only because I haven't watched the series. I got halfway through the pilot, intending to watch the whole show, but I think it was when The Child was deciding that sleep was for the weak, and I kind of fumbled about my days, just trying to remember how to put on matching socks. So the show kind of fell by the wayside.
@wallydraigle.... Let me just say this: you know we have many tastes in common. I have purchased every single season of Stargate, and watched most of them more than once. I highly recommend giving it several episodes' worth of chances. Also, he does cut his hair a season or two in, which is more yummy.
ReplyDeleteI so cannot get into this because I know but one character: Jack Sparrow. LOL I had to comment though.
ReplyDeleteThe kiss with Elizabeth? Seriously the hottest part of the trilogy. Oh, I love you Jack Sparrow.
ReplyDeleteOh I don't know, all of the Not-Kissing (as in, thinking about it but totally never quite getting satisfaction) in the second movie is pretty awesome too. :)
ReplyDeleteI love me some Daniel Jackson. No idea how I forgot him.
ReplyDeleteWith Jack Sparrow as your heart-of-hearts Top 5, the whole no worrying about veneral diseases is a really smart stipulation! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, that was pretty specifically why it got included.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I didn't know Makani had her own WEBSITE!
ReplyDeleteI always have trouble finding her stuff on deviant art. I think I might love you forever, now, fyi...
I've never watched Stargate, but, someone is a hotttie. ahha
ReplyDeleteFirst, an extremely belated thank you for stopping by my blog last week (as you can tell, I'm embarrassingly behind in my blog hopping). Secondly, LMAO... I never knew a Patronus could sound so dirty! ;) And I'm right there with you on Sark and Jack Sparrow (Will Turner's got nothing on him).
