MckLinky has started doing a weekly Blog Hop (I think that's similar to a Sock Hop?). By participating in the weekly theme, and posting the MckLinky list at the bottom of our posts, it becomes a much more interactive weekly project.
I was originally going to post a photo of Kibwana, but when I was browsing through my photos on this work computer I found another one that I really love.
It's me! Plus, since it's such a good-sized room, blocked from view of the sanctuary, it's the perfect place for a bride to get dressed and ready for her wedding. Instead of preparing downstairs, then having to walk through the entire foyer and past the sanctuary windows (affording the groom a sneak peek), she can simply step out of the library at the proper time and be right in front of the aisle, shocking him with her glory. :)
I attended dozens of weddings in this church while I was young. Although had stopped regularly attending there before I moved out of state, after a lifetime of imagining myself preparing in THIS room before stepping up to THAT altar, I couldn't bear to be married anywhere else.
Because Col is my prince charming, I had my wish, and so here I am, on February 11, 2006, in my sanctuary.
PS. (My lovely attendant there is Kibibi, by the way.)
PPS. This photo was taken by Jennifer Grant. I want you all to know about her because she's awesome! Check her out at http://katelindenstudios.com/. Just for the record, yes - I do have publishing rights for the photo.

Beautiful picture. And hey, February 11 is my birthday. What an awesome day for an anniversary!
